Dr. Dacanay hails from sunny Southern California. He graduated magna cum laude and received his Bachelors of Science from the University of California at Riverside in 1998. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of California at Los Angeles in 2002, with multiple letters of distinction. He then continued his residency training at the prestigious Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA, specializing in ophthalmology. There, he won such accolades as Best Surgeon of Class.
 
Dr. Dacanay moved to the Everett, Washington community in 2006 and has practiced at Physicians Eye Clinic since. He enjoys rewarding doctor-patient relationships and takes pride in his ability to obtain excellent surgical results in the realms of cataract and cosmetic surgery. He currently uses the most advanced technology intraocular lens implants available today and is certified and trained in the use of Botox®, Restylane®, Fraxel Laser®, and Candela V Beam Laser®.
 
Dr. Dacanay and his wife have been married for over 11 years and have 2 beautiful children. His interests include music appreciation and composition, snowboarding, building computers, and spending time in the outdoors.
