LATISSE®

Have you ever wanted longer, thicker eyelashes?

If so, we have a solution for you! Physicians Skin and Laser is excited to offer Latisse®, which is the first and only FDA-approved product that will stimulate eyelashes to grow longer and thicker!

What It Is

Latisse® (bimatoprost) is a topical prescription product that is made by Allergan (the creators of Botox®). Latisse® was discovered when doctors who prescribed the glaucoma drop Lumigan (also bimatoprost) to their patients noticed that the drops seemed to stimulate eyelash growth. The active ingredient in Latisse® is identical to that in Lumigan, so it’s already proven safe for the eyes.

Latisse® is believed to work by extending the length of time that your eyelashes are in the growth phase of the hair cycle and by increasing the number of eyelash hairs involved in the growth phase.

Latisse® is available by prescription only. At Physicians Skin and Laser in Everett, Washington, you get the added benefit of having it prescribed by an ophthalmologist with years of experience using Lumigan!

When you come see us for Latisse®, you will get a complimentary consultation with our medical aesthetician and a complimentary prescription from one of our doctors!

How It Is Applied

Latisse® is applied directly to the lashes. You only need 1-2 drops per eye because a little goes a long way. Latisse® should be applied once daily to clean, dry eyelid margins.

Potential Side Effects

Latisse® has been proven safe and has had no reports of any serious side effects. The mild side effects reported included redness or itching of the eye, which occurred in about 4% of the patients in the clinical trial. A slight darkening in the color of the iris or in the skin near the eye is rare, but can also occur.  Further information is available on the package insert or by talking to us at your appointment.

When You’ll See Results

Most people notice results within 4-8 weeks after beginning Latisse® and the effects will last as long as you continue use. Typically, if you discontinue application, lashes eventually return to their pre-treatment length. Every individual is unique, so results may vary.
